Hey there! My name is Hana and I am a wedding photographer living in Northern Virginia. I am absolutely obsessed with natural light and shooting editorial-style images. I love being able to tell your story using both film and digital formats - it makes for the most dreamy photographs! Weddings spark immense happiness that I cannot find anywhere else, and I would be honored to document yours!

Hey there! My name is Hana, I was born and raised in the Czech Republic and started taking pictures for fun when I was 14. My mom gifted me my first camera so that I could photograph my sister's wedding - and I fell in LOVE. I quickly shooting more fashion and editorials, and by 2016, I was featured multiple times in international publications (like British GQ and Elements Magazine!). When I am not dreaming up fun editorial shoots, I am riding bikes with my family, drinking a glass of Pinot Noir, listening to Cardi B (and singing along - duh!), and enjoying the sweeter things in life. I LOVE LOVE LOVE food, sweets & donuts! I am also a mom to a sweet little girl - Norah - and three fur babies - Haley, Lilly and Pepper (although, Norah decided to rename her Pepi!)

I launched my full-time wedding career in 2017 alongside my handsome assistant - my husband! Together, our photography represents the real moments - the in-between's of the day and the raw emotions of life. We work hard as a team to make sure everything runs smoothly on your big day, and each moment is preserved forever. We would be honored to capture your special day!

"She captured the most candid moments of our wedding and we love every single one of the photos. I am so glad that I found her and worked with her for my wedding. So thankful for Hana for making our wedding day most memorable."

Family is one of the most important things to me. My husband, Javier, photographs weddings with me. We have our firecracker of a two-year-old, Norah, whose favorite activities are caring for her Mimis (what she calls her baby dolls) and cooking in her little kitchen. Our fur babies are important to us as well; we have Haley, an energetic Australian Shepherd who loves running and dog parks and Lilly, the tiniest member of the Gonzalez family, who is an older, but still cuddly Yorkie. Our newest member of the family is our kitty named Pepper. As a family, we love exploring new places, whether it’s hiking in the mountains or heading to the coast and spending a day at the beach.

fresh flowers

Fresh flowers speak to my heart. I love the light scent that fills the air for a few days, the vibrant colors that bright up my office or kitchen, and the feeling that we
are bringing a bit of nature into our home. Every year around spring time I get excited because tulips, my favorite flower, come into season!

Sweets are my weakness! While I am not picky about sweets, you cannot go wrong with macaroons. In fact, I photographed these goodies and wrote a blog post on my love for macaroons, which you can find here. They’re pretty and tasty. What more could a girl want?

I have been traveling for as long as I can remember. Originally, I am from the Czech Republic, but have traveled all over the world. Egypt, Turkey, and France
are already crossed off my bucket list, but I am always looking for new continents and countries to explore!

My Why

Javier and I got married in 2016 in Cocoa Beach Florida. Needless to say, we admire genuine, deep, romantic love. Photographing weddings allows me to witness that type of love time and time again. A wedding day is the start of a lifetime of memories together, and I see it as an honor to be able to document the start of each of my couples’ beautiful stories. My couples leave legacies that can and will be passed down to their children and grandchildren.

That legacy starts on the wedding day, with each shared glance, each loving kiss, and each lifelong vow. Being a part of the beginning of your legacy gives me a sense of irreplaceable pride. Once these moments are documented, I love preserving them in an heirloom album that can be passed down from generation to generation as a reminder of the love story that blossomed into heritage and family.
